High level members of Saddam's regime met with high level members of Al Qaeda in northern Iraq before 9/11 and again after. *note* this is not to say that Iraq had something to do with 9/11, because they didn't; but they WERE cooperating with terrorists.

The majority of Iraqis DO want democracy. As soon as you talk to an Iraqi who who disagrees, let me know. I have talked to MANY Iraqis who not only want democracy, but want US troops there.
