Maybe one day Tony Parker will win that prestigious award of being selected to an imaginary team based on a panel of judge's opinions. Until then, i guess these will have to do.

LOL if you watch sports everyday (and i do) from Mike and Mike to First Take, to Colin Cowerd etc you can kinda get a feel for where the votes come from and why.

Chris Paul is an OUTSTANDING talent, a true superstar , ive watched probably 20-30 games this year with him in it (how could you not, the Clippers were almost EVERY late night west coast game on TNT or NBA TV). Hes silky smooth, great offensive skills, great defender, etc. Clearly many people think he is the best in the NBA at the PG position.

I think he is a GREAT player in the NBA, i stated i would him if i was offered a chance to pick a PG to start a team with. BUT.................

I think if you look at the PG in the league right now, he clearly has company. Hes not like Lebron where he is far and away the best PF in the league , or like Durant the best 2/4 in the game.

I dont know how you cannot include the leagues previous MVP in Derrick Rose. D Rose is taller, averages more points (in a shorter career though) , i think Paul averages more Assists, but i dont know if Paul has been on BETTER teams. I dont think Derrick Rose has had a team like Paul has on the clippers this year. Rose has never really had another all star of Griffins caliber (Even though i think Deng and Griffin are NOT all stars)

Ive watched parker play alot this year, and hes just underrated. People will never put him in the same league as CP3 because CP3 sells Jerseys and shoes, Parker doesnt.

Chris Paul had ZERO right to be voted anything MVP this year, Kevin Love was far superior to his team, but Kevin Love is a scruffy white dude who plays for minnesota, he will never get any votes lol

My point is, there is a level of hype that goes to players that influences there votes and stuff. Deron Williams gets it, Melo gets it even though hes really accomplished nothing in his NBA career except destroy teams hes on LOL, John Wall had it his first year, etc

You're so smart. You're right, has nothing to do with having the best PF in nba history on your team, along with the top 5 best 6th man in nba history. Compared to david west who was the 2nd best player on New orleans and blake griffin who is the 2nd best player on the clippers. Has nothing to do with that, maybe they felt sorry for CP3 and make up all the stats and game winning shots from this year. Maybe it has nothing to do with him being in the top 5 nba players in 4th quarter scoring this year, or the 3rd place he came in assists, or 1st he came in steals......

when SA wins, tony gets the credit. When they lose, duncan and supporting cast get the credit..... great moto.... btw let the people who vote on nba first team and defensive first team do their jobs. im sure you dont kno more then they do. it's their day job, keep yours.

He did that all alone, right. Has nothing to do with the best PF in history being on your team, right?

    1. The hype from a player has nothing to do with his numbers! He produced more then ANY point guard in the nba. One PG might average more points then him but lacks in every other category, its that way for 100% of the other PG in the nba. Rose was hurt most of the year anyway, so he wont be in the convo. and he doesn't make every player on his team better like paul does. hell chicago beats teams like miami without him...... so its evident that rose is not as important to his team as paul is to his.
    2. Chris paul to kevin love is just a comment i shouldn't even be discussing. Kevin love is great. but no chris paul, obviously.
    3. Do you want to know why parker is not in the same league as paul???? He's got a better team then paul right? then why does he not do this.............................................. ......

"Paul this season became only the second player (Tim Hardaway, 1990-91) in NBA history to average at least 19.0 points, 9.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals"

^^^ stockton never done it.... jordan never done it.... magic never done it..... steve nash never done it..... rondo never done it..... tony parker never done it..... westbrook never done it(even though he shoots 100 times a game)..... isiah thomas never done it.....gary payton never done it..... jason kidd never done it

Face it people..... all these other point guards in the nba do ONE MAYBE two things great..... but they arent the total package.....

    1. Tony Parker..... great scorer.... no defense and no assists compared to paul, not as many clutch 4th quarter games as paul this year
    2. Westbrook...... sucks at running his team, not even in the equation..... paul on the thunder would win 70+ games a year
    3. Rose..... great scorer, makes nobody in his team better.... and who gives a shit he is taller.... look on youtube and see what chris paul does to rose when they play.... LOOK and see.... he dominates rose, hes a shooting guard in a small frame, cant fuck with paul on ANY night. google their matchups
    4. rondo.... great passer/assist man, great offensive coordinator.... no defense compared to paul, no jump shot unless miami sags into the paint on him, cant hit a free throw to save his own children, no three point shot

and to say chris paul had a better team then rose is CRAZY, clippers are trash compared to the bulls......

^^^^^ and Tim hardaway isn't even a HOF, the rest on your list are. Hardaway might get I'm this year, maybe.

I think whoever wins game 5 in both series wins overall.

he has done his part every year he's been in the nba, he just doesnt have enough skill around him like the elite teams do.... okc,sa,miami, boston, bulls, indiana.... all have great supporting cast along their superstars

btw just because u can cross over slow pg's dont mean you are a elite pg, you dont have to jump high to show you are great....

Clippers were 40-26 this year with paul ...... 61% winning record.....

Hornets were 18-64 before chris paul..... THEN.....

In his first season, he led all rookies in points, assists, steals, and minutes, garnering him the 2006 NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He was also the only unanimous selection to the 2005-06 NBA All Rookie First Team and was named Western Conference Rookie of the Month every month in the 2005-06 season

It's safe to say he drastically affects his teams winning % wherever he goes. Thats why stern wouldnt let the lakers get him.

tony parker needs to step up. he can't let a guy who is bigger defend him, he's gotta find a way to get open mid range shots again....... thats the change they need to make.... besides never playing danny green again, he let the team down a lot from the way he was playing. play blair more and start manu again and start stephen jackson too.....

LOL "Slow Ass Westbrook"? Westbrook is probably THE FASTEST PG in the game.

Yes, Miami just had their heart put on a platter after having it ripped out. They dont have the mental toughness to win in the Jungle. Boston is going to the Finals, BOOK IT

You have seen the last of D Wade in a Miami Heat uniform, he will be traded after this season. Major personnel shake ups are coming. Lebron did his part.

Spoelstra is getting outcoached severely. Bosh had a 20-25 minute clearance, he played 12 and had 9 points and 7 boards? WTF where was he the rest of the game? IMO you play him, he said he felt great, you play him.

its never OVER, i mean Miami could show up and play like they are supposed to. But youre asking me if they have the mental toughness to go into Boston TD Garden and win? I dont think so.

I dont know Westbrook driving the lane, is just so explosive, i dont know if anyone is faster than he is. Slashing from the wing, Paul is incredibly fast. But driving straight down the lane, i dont know man, RW is FAST, like lightning. Paul is probably is quicker on the crossover left to right moves.

why does westbrook continue to let chris paul blow past him and drop 30+ points every time he plays against him? if he was that fast he would catch up right?
