Being real is cool, but I doubt your hypothesis is correct! Who knows, maybe the ones you come incontact show biases towards a race that isn't yours.

I certainly know asians and hispanics that have a disliking towards whites, can i draw any type of honorable conclusion form that, no not really.

Lack of positive interaction can cause those prejudices to arise. Society can definately facilitate that "lack of positive interaction" in many MANY ways. no need to elaborate.

Whats wrong with blacks celebrating there history? Asians do it there country. puerto ricans have a parade in NY. Evn gays have a whole week for themselves in San Fran. What harm does it do? Noones stopping white people from havign there own month - week whatever. You will say "if white people had a month for them or if they had there own channel everyone would say its racists" Tell me what would you all celebrate if there was a White History Month that isnt already celebrated? ANything that isnt already celebrated. Everyones wants to be equal but, any minority is gonna want to have a way of remembering the struggle or their own history.

it would make since that most minorities would stick together more than the majority of a place, simple because they can all relate to each other.

I believe Black History Month is a crock of shit as well and we only have the NAACP to blame. Sure, the NAACP did great things back in the Civil Rights Movement days, but after that ended and all of the segregation and other shit was done away with, they pull the race card every chance they get.

They should teach black history with normal American history ... they certainly have the time in a lot of these high schools in America. But then at the same time they would be sued and forced to teach other racial history in the school. But if they try to do that, I call bullshit. Latinos didn't play a big role in American history until the mid to late 1800s and then Asians have always been ignored. I think they should teach about the concentration camps they had for Japanese Americans during WW2 and more about the oppression the Chinese went through in the West during the building of the rail road. So pretty much the only "races" that played any real influential role in the forming of the modern USA are whites, blacks, and asians.

As far as Black History goes, to be honest...as a black man there are portions of black history that I don't know, the same goes for every single race. No one can sit here and say they know every prominent figure in thier race that effected history and the world as we know it. We can name the most famous ones and a few could possible even name more than that.

I agree with alot of people, I don't want a Black History Month because to be honest...why should there be a month set aside just for Black History. It should be taught along with everything else in schools and for general knowledge.

But then, it's just my two cents.

Black History month isn't bad in essence, but the basic premise of it is flawed. No one ethnicity of people should a month. Black, Indian, Asian, White and everyone else should all be taught in the classroom. Cuz to be honest... the United States is what it is because of all of us. Blacks (Slavery), Indians (Colonization), Asians (Push into the West), Whites (Civil War). We all have influenced history.... so we should learn it all.

I dont think the issue is does BHM or BET hurt you I think it has to do with what would happen if there was a WHM or WET. I feel it would be protested as racist. If anyone protested BHM or BET on a large scale I feel they would be called racist. I personally dont care if we have a BHM I agree that there is a large part of history left out of the school books and it should be added. And on the topic of white people oweing blacks as slave issue(this is not direct to anything you said QD) check who was selling the people from africa yes thats right other Black tribes. I do not agree with the idea of haveing slaves in any way but if people want to look for some kind of compensation for what a family member maybe they should go after thoe who traped them in nets to be sold as slaves. Whites were also treated as slave in the form of an indentured servents i would agree they probly had it alot better but when you look back in history almost every race were slaves to some extent or another.
