First of all your house would be personal property. Roads are public. The government definitely has jurisdiction. Second, the government is doing its citizens a favor by taking your dumbass off the streets. You're endangering other people. If you were doing something dangerous or illegal in your house, I'm sure the police would arrest you for it. You would still own the home, but your ass would be in jail.

As for sympathy, I don't think it's the sympathy of people who are posting in this thread that you need to worry about. There are other people who don't look kindly upon "simple battery to a police officer", including judges.
