on his defense hyundai has a 10yr 100k mile warranty....

Only thing I can say is he is gonna need it.
I have 2 honda's. Does that mean that is all I like and love, hell no. I drove to Vengence racing up on highway 19 from around Gadsden Al in one of the Nastiest camaro's I've ever driven. And followed one even cooler. The #1 Hennessey 2010 Camaro. Look in Road & Track this month. You'll see it.
But driving this C5R powered camaro w/ better heads and cam and bigger throttle body made me appreciate, and loathe many things about my honda. you just can't beat over 500 whp and 500 whtq with a stick NA. It's so raw, so nasty, so un streetable and grouchy below 2k rpms. There just isn't anything like being able to stomp it in 4th gear and feel the tires get a little loose on the pavement going down the interstate.
But the downside of driving such a big nasty car is that the muscle car scene is FUCKING BORING. It is so many corvette's, which I would love to get my hands on; but no it's grandpa who just keeps it garaged and putts around in it, and then there are a whole lot of damn red necks. Only about 30 percent of the scene is even tolarable.
Sure Imports are weaker, mostly because of smaller engines and FWD, but I love both of mine. (truly I did feel like I was driving a go kart home after driving it).
A part of me burns for big nasty V8 power, but I have better things to do with my life now. I burned an entire tank of gas being easy on it there and back and had to fill up before I got back. RWD, V8 big block is amazing, Honda's are great, But Your ass is gay for even thinking your Hyundai is even in either of these categories.
G/L with the warranty, you are gonna need it
end of my rant
So what you're saying is that Hyundai is fail and everything about them is not great? I find it hard to believe but Hyundai so far on my car nothing is wrong. Nada. I put at least 8k on the motor nothing. My friend has the new Genesis Sedan and put at least 50k with no problems. But the real topic is the exterior, care to read my first post? I dont care about the power because either way both can produce an extreme amount but the thing is the exterior it's played out beyond necessary. I really didnt care about it but now a days it's pretty much annoying. I posted a pic of lightly modified Genesis, and I've looked all around for Honda Civic that can surpass that pic nothing Im sorry.
Hmm yeah I agree to a degree. See the thing is then why not sell the Civic and at LEAST buy one of those instead buying the same car, the same parts again, and label it "my new car with new parts." I've saw it so many times on this forum alone and I wonder, dont you get tired? I mean VTEC is all great but you're just floating amongst the seas and hordes of ricers and non ricers. You all look the same.
Civic vs. "rwd"

cliffnotes:
Civic loses by a hair with its rear brakes glowing.
Mine's the red one.
Yeah in a straightline, I guess I like driving corners and not just drags. I owned a civic and took pushed it to its limits at Road A and the shit just doenst cut it. Its not completely horrible but RWD is so much better for both cornering and drag. The point is not that the Honda engines suck, its the car itself sucks.
Different strokes for different folks, but I wouldn't buy a car known for their faulty everything, and expecially a first gen one at that. Let the recalls and rotting of cheap plastic begin. you've obviously never taken lots of hyundai's apart. I guarantee you they are built cheap as hell. You know why, because i've seen them inside to the bare stripped down car, then reassembled. Honda's aren't nearly as cheaply made; I can assure you the quality of parts all around doesn't compare.
^^^As soon to be you are as well jaded just like every car that isn't new. Having the latest thing only means one thing truly, more debt than its worth, and money wasted.
Yea I don't usually see anything special in the way of Civics. There's a black and gold one on here which looks really good...but again, I'm never taken by most of the Civics on this website.
Well you'll soon be in that category by the time it's paid off. There is no "next big thing" because it is all just copying the past anyways and something someone else whether you choose to acknowledge it or not. It's been done, some more than others.
Yep. As long as the car you're driving is/was mass produced at some point, it's gonna be as unique as the one next to it.

Mine's the red one.
there are so many rediculous posts in this thread. Everybody preaching about debt and owning their car because its cheap. The money I put on my STi payment every month is the best money I spend. Every time I drive my completely stock car I have the time of my life just like it was the first time i drove it. Sure I could go without that car payment every month and drive what everybody else is driving so I would have more money to waste on beer and things like that but to me, a car is an investment so I might as well invest my money in exactly what I want.
And the Genesis is the shit, those things have so much potential. Hyundai's quality has really come up since their popularity has.
Exactly! If they took the money they dropped into there Civics they could own a pretty nice vehicle. If you don't make enough money at all then stick with your civics and leave them the fuck alone, I came this (---) close to buying a Civic recently and I'm so glad I changed my mind. I believe a car should be the complete package. Looks, reliability, handling, and overall build quality are very important to me. FWD just does not cut it for anything with real power.
i hope you didnt say your car is an investment. do you know what an investment is? since ppl on here don't like to use google. i will help you out.
"The purchase of a financial product or other item of value with an expectation of favorable future returns. In general terms, investment means the use money in the hope of making more money."
Do you really think you arent gonna lose $10k+ when you pay off that car? You call that an investment? Use your head. I'm not saying you should run and buy a old civic. but I think what a lot of ppl in this thread are saying is that you are losing money, and gloating about it. doesnt make sense.
Im not gloating aboot anything, And by investment I didnt mean that I was gonna sell my car for twice what I paid for it in ten years. I meant its something that I am putting alot of money into, therefore I might as well put my money into something thats fun to drive each and everytime I get behind the wheel. Its also something that Im not gonna see ten of everytime I go to the nearest gas station. I dont wanna drive a POS for the rest of my life and once my car is paid for it is mine forever.
im tired of civics and integras, some cats act like their civics are better than any car on the road, may reason why i dont like them is the reason why most people like them, yeah they are lightweight and get great gas milage but that's because they dont have much structure, i know of a couple of people that have died cause the civic they were in did not protect them, how could it protect them, i would rock one of the newer ones cause they are heavier, i was in a bad accident in my 93 accord and i walked away with minor scratches, if i were in a civic, i would not be here or i would be crippled for sure, but then again to each .... their own
i dont hate civics but that is kinda true civics are everywhere!!!!!!! i own a civic too but i would like to start owning old skool toyotas!!!!!!!! anywase there are some real nice and clean civics out there though...civic will never go away...
some people strive too hard to be different than everyone else in everything they do, as to where some (like myself) am just fine with having the same old thing as tom dick and harry but still are quite capable of being their own individual
not to mention they are "economical"
don't call it cheap because i did work for it
JIGGITY96
i like my unique civic. Executed to my own taste and a great daily driver. Just wish it wasn't on the top 10 list of stolen cars. Civics are snatched like no tomm. in GA. Good thing is, if I ever need a part i can be sure it's available for a price......

Do what you do.
Got a MINI?Don't talk to me.
FUCK your FADS
I am not tired of mine. Being this is the first and only car I have ever owned and it's paid for, I am happy. Obviously I don't have it like everyone else and is able to switch up cars at will. Either way it goes, I don't dislike anyone's car even if there are a lot of civics and a lot of people fuck them up. I love and appreciate mine, at least I am fortunate to have a fucking car that I can do something with it.
