I have a reactive muffler welded on it "I bought the car that way" and it does sound pretty good, but I thought that putting straight pipes on it would let the engine breathe easier and thus allowing it to produce more power.

Life begins at 6000 RPMS.. You will notice an audible change in engine noise, large increase in acceleration and any female passengers will immidiately start to remove their clothing.
