I don't blame the OP for wanting to do this. I was in the same situation, being 20 and not 24 yet (what ever the age is), and having a car that was turbo stated from the VIN. The insurance was ridiculous for myself to pay, even though I never had a single ticket of my 5 years of driving. Do what you got to do, that's all I got to say.
