we already know that the Z06 will start to walk on the gtr at 100mphs so whats the point.
The only way for this to be a fair bet would be with the V-spec

All I have to say is lol at the people talking **** about the GTR's....... yea the interior is garbage but who gives a **** if you want a car for the experience of driving it(i.e. anyone who buys a GTR) it shouldn't matter. But zr1 will win in a straight line, however I personally would rather have a v-spec due to AWD and such.

I really don't see where people are talking **** about the car more are simply stating their opinoin.

I agree with you on the interior part but something to consider.
1.It's a Nissan not an Infinity
2. For 70k you should still be getting a nice interior like you do
in the porsche it rivals

As far as the people buying this car. Cars like these are more a status thing. I have found that people who buy cars like these and the Z06 or the ZR1 for that matter really don't know squat about their car.

The V-Spec isn't even out yet and the GTR base model has AWD so what the hell are you talking about?

I won't even adress your even noobier post because no one in this thread including me have said that their cars could even slightly hold a candle to either of these cars. Both of these cars are built to be streetable race cars. IMHO. The GTR will win the all around better car contest hands down put me in for $5. As far as in a race around the ring I don't know squat about the ZR1's so I won't open my mouth on things on which I know nothing about .

yea,the car im tlaking bout ti my fav noble m400,which pulls a 1.5g,0-60 in 2.9sec and top speed of 197mph....which weighs right round 2k pounds,its amazing machine,more so then either the ZR1 or GTR,imo........but then agian it is a race car built for the Street,not a DD..like these could be

The same thing that happened with the GTR being overrated is going to happen with the zr1, there are fanboys everywhere in all shapes and sizes. A lot of people are just going to say zr1 because they dont like GTR's, it's all relative. It's all personal taste. With supercars like these it's not so much who goes faster, whether you buy a V-spec or a zr1 it's not like you wont be satisfied on the street. I just want someone to explain to me their hatred for GTR's as it doesn't make sense to me.

well with good driver i dont seem why the ZR1 one couldnt,it has more horsepower and weighs less

No but the carbon brakes are coming on the V-Spec model.

I know the GTR comes standard with AWD but v-spec=better overall package. Yes I did misread your post my bad I'm in a ****ty mood due to being suspended and not thinking clearly. Not so much in this thread but in others people have been saying OH YEA **** GTR'S THEY'RE OVERATED PIECES OF **** **** THEM **** **** **** which I dont really understand. I mean yea the interior is not the nicest (however I dont understand the claims against the exterior-what does it need?) but you will spank the 70k Porsche when you race it. I think the image Nissan is going for with this thing is a street legal race car, you pay 70k for the engineering, not a gangsta suede interior or some ****. I vote GTR.

Not really considering for what the car does it should(according to them and the press anyways)cost $400K. I see what you mean and Nissan could definitely make the interior nicer while keeping it racey without jacking the price up too much. But personally the interior is nice enough for me and I usually only have one other person in the car anyways so back seats is really not an issue for me.

Here's what it comes down too for me. I have less of a problem paying 70k for a Nissan than I do paying 100k+ supposedly for a Chevy.

True, but it's not in the same league as the cars it's competing with. No 70k luxury sports car will come close to touching a GTR. You would have to spend over twice as much money to get a "luxury" car that will stay with one. IMO the GTR is kind of in its own class, I'm not trying to be a fanboy or anything but it is a pretty unique vehicle considering its price from Nissan and it's performance numbers.
