Well I read Motortrend's review of the new Evo X GSR (Base Model) And they noted that it's performance was inferior to the IX GSR (Base Model) in several ways. Skid Pad was the only place the X beat the IX, and that's mostly because of AYC. It's too bad Motortrend only tested American versions of the Evo's, because otherwise they would have sounded less dumb talking about AYC as a brand new feature on the Evo X. It's only "brand new" for America. The only big thing about the Evo X is that it's not as "tuned down" for the American models as all the previous Evo's have been. I say that's a plus, but my big problem is the styling. The new Lancer looks like a toy car, and the Evo version is nearly indistuingishable.
I don't DISlike the 4B11 motor, either. I DISlike the fact that performance-wise, the Evo X is a step down from the Evo IX, except that it has AYC in america. This doesn't make the Evo X faster, it says Mitsu stopped ****ing us. I do have to say that the Getrag dual-clutch box, while innovative, also turns me off. I want a stick please.
