Not trying to add any fuel here. Just pointing out the obvious. This is a pointless thread from a guy crying about Thacker not accpeting his race yet saying that Thacker "backed out". Again It's pretty simple. In order to back down you have to accept first. Thacker declined the race therefor this "rant"(really more of a whine)is unwarranted.

lets see, from what your saying people could start making races to just the 60' mark, sense you seem to claim that, that is the hardest part of racing! i would agree launching is hard, but once both partys launch it comes down to shifting! and sense thacker claims to be the god of 6spd shifting, roll racing should be no problem for him!

now your 2nd part, thacker claims he has a stck low 13 sec car, when everyone nows his car runs in the mid to low 12's! and sense he claims to be so great at both launching and shifting, he should step his game up! i mean think about it, all he does is call people out who admit that they dont try to always launch there car, so there not great at it. plus most have jobs and have to work to play. not everyone can be like thacker and live in gandmas basement unemployed, and go out everyone night and race. so he calls out people he now he has almost 100% chance of winning against!

then when someone in his leadgue he knows he will lose against, he comes up with excuses to why he cant or wont run!

so what he needs to do is step his game up and start challenging cars that will give him a run! some that he's not quarented to win against!

Nice post. This is the exact reason Thacker wouldnt race me from a roll right after we did our dig race.

In order for someone to back down from something they would have had to have accept it in the first place and here Thacker CLEARLY DIDN'T. Don't get me wrong I think that it's pretty stupid that Thacker A.)Only seems to call out people he knows with out a doubt he can beat.and B.)Will only race on his terms. But facts are stubborn things and this thread is no different from all the threads in here and in the WL where people come in and do nothing but restate the obvious and complain about **** that they can do nothing about.

I looked at the title of the thread again and I see what you are saying. Technically, to back out, you must agree in the first place, but, you dont have to commit to something to back down.

I'll have to agree with Anthony, to a degree.

"Street" cars don't really require any real great degree of "skill" to drive down the drag strip. Low HP cars only need to be pointed in the right direction and to get off the line. The only "skill" needed is in getting it off the line as quick as possible. In LOW hp cars, it's not that big a deal.

Now, when you start getting into cars with real HP, that's a different ball game. Not just anyone can launch a car down the strip correctly there. Suspension has to be done right, tires have to be right, car has to be tuned right, everything pretty much has to be right or you could have a bad day quick.

Too many people are trying to make more out of it than it really is.
