    In Tuan's defense, i really think it was a Red Tail.


    Red tails behavior is to sit in these trees in the daytime and wait for prey (squirrels, rabbits, etc) to just go running by, and they just stoop down to attack. An owl at that time of day, should have been in an inconspicuous place a bit more hidden roosting til dawn. Not 100%, but just my opinion, lol
