It's not about caring or being passionate about anybody. It's the fact we research all cars a whole.

You on the other hand settle with the minimum.

I'll let you figure out what makes Baveria special. How about it?

It might start you off on looking for these things the right way. Not by making a thread on a car that was unanimously voted one of the top 5 most important ever made.

The RUF VIN'd cars were purchased as chassis' from Porsche then built ground up to their own spec's. The CTR yellowbird was the fastest production car on the street when it was built, 0-60 in 4.0 seconds with a top speed of 212mph...and held the Nurburgring lap record for years.

RUF recreated their own aluminum body panels for the CTR replacing Porsche's steel ones. They put their own 5-speed transmission in it (when Porsche only offered a 4 speed in the 930 turbo) and they upgraded the suspension and brembo brakes and their own RUF wheels. Then they created a custom built 3.4L engine and added their own twin turbo setup and took the fuel injection system and electrical from Porsche's 962 race car.

An original RUF VIN Yellowbird is still worth over $150k today with the RUF Porsche VIN conversion cars going for over $100k.

Compare that $220k cost to the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 during the same time and it wasn't bad at all...considering it beat both their top speeds.
