hey yall im lookin for a datsun 510 (2dr prferably) or a skyline like 1971 or 72. anyone know where i could find one?

Good luck with the older Skyline. I heard a rumor that the Yakuza keeps tabs on everybody who owns one to keep them in the country and in good condition.

lol, I remember that article in SCC from a years ago. Some guy bought a mint 72 Skyline and shipped it over here. Then some Japanese Yakuza came over and tried to buy it back, saying it was sacriledge to have such a car taken away from their homeland.

I hadnt even heard that story. I heard one about a guy who wanted to repaint one and then the Yakuza interfered and made him keep it the OEM color.

would you be interested in that? asking 800, still runs, new brakes, new tires etc... has a slight idle problem, but its driveable... just clean out the carb/choke, etc and it should be good,

body is good, the left side has a small amount of damage, but very fixable.
car weighs under 2k i believe and i've seen one with a 13B in it at import showdown run 11's constantly all day...

great fun drift car, etc

ask people in the military that's the best place. guys that are stationed in Japan can find you a skyline on base really cheap.

I've seen the one on Jimmy Carter, the guy lives down the road from one of my friends. It's a wagon though. There's this dude DJ Mafioso i met up with (cant remember his real name) but you can email him off his website and he knows probably where to find a good 510. I also met up with this guy Dino who lives up north of the city somewhere and he was selling a couple of perfect condition ones, he knows his shit no end if you know of him.... rotary and SR swaps and whatever

Dino had some SICK 510s... i almost bought an ex-racecar from him. Used to run a 390rwhp SR20 at it at road atlanta. Thing was rust free... that was years ago though..

his wife was trying to get him to stop so he was selling some off, hope she didn't keep him on the leash for too long

annihilation also has a CLEAN 510 but it has no motor in it, he's letting the shell go for 300$ it has no body damage and is primered ready to paint.

call him 404 488 3358 (Oz)
sometimes he refers to the car as "firebird" cuz the previous owner has a pontiac color scheme on it... it was stripped down and getting repainted...
