    depends...obviously i dont wanna spend $400 for a NEW V1 but i understand they r expensive, but i can get good deals on escorts all day, would prefer V1

    what kinda good deals can you get on a 8500 x50? V1's getting a little old IMHO, the 8500 and the new Bell outperforms it by a bit now.

    well i had a passport 8500 x50 and drove right by a cop standing outside his car with the radar gun pointing at traffic and it never went off at all, so i vowed to not buy another one, v1 is way better than passports!

    You DO realise that the hardware is updated in the V1? They have all looked the same for a loooooong ass time. They are not the same.

    Same thing happens with the V1

    I've had both and prefer the V1 only because it tells the direction of the bogey. Ideally I'd go with the V1 and Zr3 shifter.

    well on ur link they r talkin about one of those stand up things that show digital speeds, this was an actual guy standing at his car, but it should have went off way before i came up on him...right? i dont kno the whole deal with those stand up speedometers...bump

    You do know that instant on radar guns have to be on for your radar detector to go off. If he wasn't pulling the trigger your detector will do nothing. Smart cops don't just sit there and shoot everyone because then they're alerting everyone one of us with radar detectors to their presence. I just sent my V1 in to be upgraded and will never use another type.

    bump for v1...regardless v1 is a lot better then escorts, and cool cat racing im pretty sure he would have been pullin the trigger as i drive by, i mean a white civic slammed,....idk not a very inconspicuous car, i just want a damn v1! lol
