if u go wit the jl makeshure u go wit a jl amp. that speaker is at 3ohm most amps wont break down to 3. i blew my w7 wit a hifoncis zuse 500/2 at 2ohms. dam good speaker tho. ****in beet

Only older JL speakers are 3 ohm, none of the new ones are.

The reason you probably blew your speaker if it was dual voice coil 4 ohm, which most JL's are, is you probably had an amp sending it 4 ohms when the speaker was wired for two.

But I have a W6V2 12 for sale, $230. Will be muchhhh louder and much more precise than a L7, and about as loud as a W7.
