    Default WTB: 91-92 Pontiac Grand am motor

    it has to be the 3.1L


    like the title says.. need one.. would like to get motor and tranny.. fixing on of the older cars we have in the stash... let me know if you see anything around.. might through in a finders fee..

    You never mentioned which engine. Is it the 2.3L Quad OHC, 2.3L Quad4, 2.3L Quad4 H.O, 3.1L or 3.3L? I might know some people.

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

    hmmm.. gotta check the and see if it will fit... havent messed with a GM since i totaled mine.. so i think the 3.1l is the only thing that will fit

    I know of a guy who has a '93 with a 3.4L in his. Trust me, it fits and they all look the same. If the size of the motor wasn't stamped on the intake manifold, you wouldn't know from the outside. I'm at the hospital now so I'll have to get back with the guy later on. Consider the 3.4L, though. I also met a guy who dropped in the '00 grand am motor into a Malibu. It's definately quicker.

    I spoke to my boy who has a bunch of motors. The day I went up to him to ask if he had either motor, the first thing out of his mouth was "Damn! I was about to ask you the same thing. I'll still check it out for you man.

    I know of a 3.1 for sale, but the car comes with...that and the car is probably a little nicer than the grand am anyway ;-)
