    You could do it yourself. I've done it few time, not that hard. I ran the those ECUs for couple years now, no problem. All you need are a solder gun, a small roll of solder, and desoldering braid. (http://www.radioshack.com/sm-more-pr...-2062744.html). Everything you could find from Radio Shack.

    you need more than just the socket installed to make it a chipped ecu
