depends on the phone. Ebay is the best place to try if you want to do it yourself. Reps?

im tired of everyone giving negative reps for small bull****. its not my fault people have thin skin. anyways, the easiest way I know of is to just take it to the service provider and tell them you want to switch plans with your phone. they can usually unlock them for you. I had one done for free by T-Mobile, but that was a good favor on the T-Mobile guys part.
