    Default WTB: cheap D motor

For some reason my motor decided not to have compression and so I just want to replace it. My budget is pretty much like $100-$200... just need something for my 1992 Civic to run again...D15B7s, Z6s, but no D15b2 motors plz. OBD1 if possible. Kinda feel it's a long shot but money is tight and going to school at the same time = broke.

no compression = piston rings shot ... spend like 100 or less an fix it yourself ! motor swap = More time n money . put the 100-200 in your motor you currently have and go for another 100,xxx miles .....

We were doing an auto/manual swap along with a mini-me. the tranny swap was fine but something F-ed up in the engine. I spent like $300 for all of it already too so I really don't care right now; I just need something to drive for now. I probably will check it out though

holy crap, I put $400 in my mini-me motor that doesn't work. ended up it does have compression but I need something running now.

Still only have but $100-$200 to buy a running block. I would offer someone to come up and help me fix this motor and shell out the money with food, gas, extra $$,etc but I live in Chatt.
(Just angry I could have just saved up for an LS swap or something) :/

Well ever since I originally posted up this thread, I haven't put more money in the car but I'm tired of looking at it and not being able to use it (along with other crap on my mind - school, work, etc). I'm just clueless why it won't run but thanks anyway

Dannng, I don't feel as bad anymore.. jk. that sucks man, that's why I'm debating on just buying another car thing fix this POS...

Well it did have compression, headgasket is new and double checked if it was leaking (which wasn't) and the head was machined by a very good local shop.

then your rings were shot ... get a new block ... not a whole engine .. get a 1.6 L d series block ... you be straight ... d16a6,z6,zc (sohc) any of them will work perfectly

    I've got a D15 from a 93 Civic, was low on compression on one cylinder (30 psi), ran OK, smoked a little $100 770 967 9557
