Half shaft from B18A1 block ( DA ) and halfshaft from B18B1 (DC) are the same. you have axle problems or wrong axles.

using da axels so i was told i need a da half shaft. i tried using the half shaft that was on the motor and it didnt work then i tried a da half shaft but i think it was an automatic one. both bind. they bind when your sitting still and just turn the steering wheel. dont have to be driving.

It may be that the axle joints are not connected in the rubber boot. it is easy to pull them out and sometimes can be a PITA to get them back in without taking the boot out.

this is the sir half shaft. the da one i have is offset instead of flat like the first pic. is the manual da halfshaft flat or offset?

if the car is off the ground you can turn the wheels fine but if you put it on the ground and just turn the steering wheel it will bind. dont have to be rolling.

the da shaft should be shorter than this. i think the one i have is 15" or 15 1/4"

it depends on what trans you have too, because the axle seals are different.
