No its the same engine. 4g63t. The tranny is what makes it awd.

My galant vr4 is awd like that talon, its just slower.

just wondering , the engines in the evo8s are different im guessing. at least the ones with mivec. but i dont know for sure thanks for the answers homie BAD ASS CAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evo 9s started the mivec. Its whatever. You dont really need it. Big turbo takes care of the top end.

The engines are different from Evo 4 up since the turbo has the compressor on the opposite side of 1g/2g's and the cam gears are on the other side. Bigger turbo,injectors, exhuast stock but other than that not too many differences from 1987.
