check out Subscape its more dreamy instrumental shit, his tracks have a lot more thought into a lot of detail and a lot more structure, if you have some high end headphones with a wide range of frequencies (pref highs) you can hear all the layers hes put into each song, its truly amazing. none of that glitchy nub action skrillex and knife party throw at you.

if you want to get "technical" it is dubstep. seeing how the tempo is around 130bpm, kick drum around first and 3rd beat, and OH do you hear the WOBBLE BASS?!?!!
there are a lot of different sub-genres in EDM. Dubstep falls under HOUSE. This song is a melodic dubstep, close to house but the wobble bass and the tempo makes it dubstep.
genres in EDM is very hard to distinguish, if you hear about an artist in dubstep you might hear about 'skrillex'. but you know what kind of music he makes? He makes fidget house and bro-step. different from actual dubstep. lol
all this new 'dubstep' is actually brostep, dubstep without soul, without focus, just glitchy bullshit. I hate how they throw it all under dubstep.
Most techno, trance, rap, and electronic music have the same beat pattern with the kick on the 1st and third beat. Even other music such as rock, punk, country, and so on have that same style too.

I'll listen to any music with a good melody. It's just to me, a lot of music now days sounds like shit. Even with all the studio computer doing the work for the so called artists. Very few artists these days actually have talent.
