Badu is so strange, but that's why I love her music. I didn't believe this was true when I first heard about it until I then read about her being charged by the city.

Not sure, I caught the end of it listening to some internet radio station. I do know the fine is not that high. It's nothing more than a disorderly conduct fine and those are usually under $1000. Which is chump change compared to all the free publicity she received from it.
