    the bugatti wasnt in "top speed mode". the wing came up which lets you know it wasnt as fast as it could have been. you need a special key to activate this.

    Inserting the key in a slot near the driver's seat initiates a series of safety checks, lowers the chassis, stablizes the car's diffuser flaps (in the closed position) and Minimizes the angle of incidence of the rear aerofoil to reduce wind resistance. Finally, internal speed limiters are disabled and the Veyron is ready for serious pedal-down action.

    and yet he hit 220mph in that mile long drag race... speed limiters i bet were off.

    Why would it have been? It was in a drag race, not a top speed run.
