corvette in 6th gear at 80mph is about 1500rpm...that's almost idling. corvette gets 24-28mpg, now put the powertrain in an easy 500lb lighter car....why wouldn't it get more gas mileage?
the ONLY variable with that is the rear end gear ratio. stock 240sx is 4.11, but a z32 tt is a 3.69 etc etc.
i know it's hard to believe a motor with 3 times the displacement as yours gets just as much mpg and TWICE the gas mileage of a turbo 4 cylinder...but it's true
best part is....all you gotta do is change the oil.
no turbo's smoking, no intercooler pipes popping off, no dyno sessions...just twice the hp and torque STOCK....there's nothing wrong with tried and true american muscle. once a motor flows at it's peak potential...the rest comes down to cubic inches
