the gt-r had a tiny jump and the guy wasn't using the launch control. the gallardo is impressive, but at less than half the price, the gt-r is a monster

Hmmm... GT-R is slower than I thought if it can only inch by a gallardo (and it had a jump)

I agree on the price point and the jump. The Nissan better watch its ass around the new ZR-1.:idb:

Most certainly the GT-R is impressive and ideally a dream garage would be both but if I had to choose.. SL

Would take the Lamborghini, for some reason I have yet to be really impressed by the GTR...it's just, boring. It's a Nissan. It can't be that cool.

    Scenario 1 & 2

    1. Sleepin at the line is a loss

    2. GTR awd system took a shorter time to get it's launch system to go. Besides, the SL had him at 60".

I would still take the "AUDI" over the GTR.

    Or would I? .......*ponders*

It has about 40-50hp less than the gtr (according to MT's 507whp on the gtr) So what would you expect?

Actually I think the GTR has 480whp.

Read MT's review, they dyno'd at 507(sorry to the crank, assuming only 15% drivetrain loss) though they estimate it to be more around the 550 range, due to the fact that only 15% loss would be quite a feat with awd. So either Nissan is understating the HP, or they secretly upped the HP on the cars they sent to reviewers. Either way it's kinda suspicious.
