Im working with no power steering... and am a tiny female so yeah...
fighting the car...
hand placement isnt exactly the best, but this was my best run.

Everyone will disagree with driving gloves, however... with the now power steering compared to when I didnt use gloves, I have more control.

I started wearing gloves a while back too - around the time I went with hoosiers.

No power steering + r-compounds = damn hard to manhandle, especially with sweaty palms.

Completely feel ya! I drove my friends 30+ more HP than my miata with a much smaller diamater steering wheel, GLOVELESS... with kumho sticky stuff tires (LOL) and it eliminated some of the work. I was 3 secs. faster than my best time the first time ever driving his car. lol.... well he also has a thing called grip but yeah.
