Granted i've owned three cars and i bought all three with my own money and i get pride from that. But i wish i had spent more time in school instead of working my ass of for the cars and letting my grades slide.
Bashing a 16 year old because his parents are proud of him and get him something he might actually deserve has no valor.
Your idea of "respecting your car better when u work for everything u put into it".....well at his age "work" might be school. My friend said he was able to get HOPE for college but his mom said keep the HOPE money and she'll pay for college. That was like $5,000.00 dollars to spend on whatever.
All this thread is about is the fact that certain people cant take a younger kid having better stuff than they do.
Blood and sweat on your car. It's just not for everybody. Thats why tuning shops exist.
I'm 21 and own an STI, when a lot of people see that, they automatically assume the rich mommy/daddy routine. They are very wrong.
