he should have been smart enough to know to not buy a dodge neon srt-4. they have the worst crash test rating legal. i watched a vid of its frontal and side impact crash test with the dummies. and in both the vid says its lethal or high risk of damage. those things are "death traps" kid got lucky. its the reason i never bought one. they are fast and cheap, but dangerous as hell
wow that hit close to home, i was in a bad car accident with a friend of mine, also in a black SRT-4. my accident changed my life, everyday i pass the spot were we wrecked and think wow we are lucky to be alive, afterwards i sold my car and purchased a big ass truck. cars will allways be a huge part of my life, but we learned the hard way there is a time and place for everything. we never thought when we got into that car that we might not make it home. so to everyone out there have fun, but always be aware of the dangers, and know in the back of your head that this can happen to anyone.
wow thats deep. really makes you think...
good vid.
Wow. Pretty sobering. Guy's lucky to be alive.
And props to him for trying to raise awareness about what he went through and how to prevent it. I think we can all take a little something away from this, being speed freaks (most of us anyway). I'm sure as hell gonna slow down. Thanks for posting that up, SicStang.
"I get worried when it STOPS leaking."
this is what the dumbass had to say. he almost made the darwin award list.
"No, it was misting out and the BFGoodrich 3 season KDWs didn't grip at all. I believe I hydroplaned and slammed on my brakes...which is the WORST thing to do! As for JVM, he has every right to say what he/she did. I know what I did was completely stupid and take full responsibilty for the outcome of it. The thing is, I know cars and can handle a car VERY well yet a lot of other teens drive worst than I did...but nothing ever happens to them?!?! Oh well!"

that was touching. glad he wasn't killed.
sometimes it takes an accident like that to slap you in the face and take you up a couple notches in the maturity level.
