    My executive opinion is that that is an 04 WRX with STI wheels, side skirts. Doesnt have the front splitters or rear Brembos that I can tell.

    Either way the axles or wheel bearings will blow out way before the transmission will on an STi. Bearings were more of an issue with 04 STis, they updated the hubs in 05 with beefier components.

    that is a sti..when theres a will theres a way and he really wanted to break that car...i've seen sti with 500hp do 5 passes down the track on a stock clutch b4 it blew so that is a pretty crazy stock clutch

    Which is probably what he is trying to do...fool the unsuspecting person into thinking its a wrx when in reality its a STi. Plus it has sti seats, sideskirts, rear bumper, front bumper splitters, and front and rear brembos.
