Default Yamaha R1 Turbo pulling front end at 6th gear.

Damn I dont know much about bikes but this came to me as ALOT of power. The guy runs through all the gears with all of them pulling the front wheel fairly high off the ground (from what I can see). Correct me if Im wrong but I thought it was pretty powerful looking. http://www.youtube.com/v/u0_R8_GmL2k

If you keep it in the right RPM's you could do it on lots of bikes.

I'm not saying ANY bikes But there are those out there that can do this. Heck I can be cruisin along on my YZ 125 dirtbike and stand it straight up in 6th gear and ride it out. Of course I can stand any dirtbike up in 1st gear and ride it until i run out of motor lol

Is it fairly easy to learn how to do? I have always wanted to learn how to do wheelies on bikes and do alot of the stunt bike shit you see people doing. I just dont want to kill whatever bike im using when i fall (lol...when). Im not starting from ground zero either, I have always been riding four wheelers and dirt bikes and stuff so I have experience with them. I could always pull the wheel up, I just could never keep it there. Any suggestions?

There isn't a factory sportbike made that will pull 6th gear, or 5th for that matter. Some may pull 4th with someone who knows how to use weight/ power to help out.

Dirtbikes, etc. are different because they have lower gearing throughout the gears and high torque/low rpm engines. Most sportbikes are the opposite, with long gearing and high revving engines.

A turbo R1 is most likely close to 300 HP minimum, and possibly MUCH higher. That kind of power is completely unusable on a bike like that.

Much like drifting, it just requires learning. Its not really that hard once you start practicing (most stunts). Stunting will destroy a streetbike though, so I would suggest an older already abused one. I used to stunt, when it was more of an underground sport. I still have the TL1000S that I used, but it is in bad shape because of it.

You'd be surprised how comfortable you can get doing 100+ on the back tire.

I have heard that once you get the hang of it, being on a back wheel just kinda comes natural and you can pretty much just hang tight as long as you want. True?

Ok i'm wrong lol. My dirtbike is geared to fly lol. I run a 14/47 on a 125

Its all about getting comfortable in doing what your doing. Best bet, find yourself some kind of beater dirtbike, throw some hand guards on it (the aluminum cross country guards), put the brace on the back just like u'd see on the street bikes. Find yourself a place where you wont be causing trouble, and practice. A heavier bike would be better, considering how much a street bike weighs. Once you get comfortable doing A LOT of things, start from square one on a street bike. THen do it all over. Just b/c you can do 10 different things on a smaller bike doesnt mean you can do even 5 on a street bike.

Thats easy at slow speeds. I'm talking picking it up in first, and shifting gears, with out putting it down, and not stopping until the motor runs out of power. I also did this on my 330 Big bore 3mm stroker CR 250.

Thats no fun. The faster the better. I tend to drag race people a lot on my dirtbikes. Just because I build my own motors and nobody thinks they work. Well, I've smoked countless 250's on my 125, and I do so on a wheelie every time.
