obviously you've never worked on a VG. for what it takes to swap turbos on a VG i'd rather go through the pains of a swap for an inline motor.

you ever worked on a vg30de or vg30dett? look how much space is under that hood now!! i wish i still had my z32, wanted to put an LS1 in it but they were too pricey at the time.

lolol, i read his post and had to reply before even reading the rest...should've known someoen else would have said the same thing :p there's a reason timing belt replacements are only a couple hundred less than the labor for an engine swap.

Nice. Definitely looks a lot easier to work on. I hated my buddies Z32.

"Alright man, ready to change the oil?"
"Yeah. You pull the engine, I'll get the filter."

It's true, for the amount of money the skyline engine costs and installation you be running almost twice as much horse power if you put that money into the vg motor.

VG's are a pain but this thing looks shoehorned in there as well. Maybe more room on the sides but the front has like 0 cleaence.

Besides the that, the video was pretty good. Lots of turbo lag it looked like, and I loved how he scraped the can coming into the lot

Unless you've done it hundreds of times you don't want to work on the VG. I had one for 4 years and have so much respect for Russell & Z1 for what they do. Had mine for nearly 3 years doing all the work myself before discovering them, they still didn't do any work on it but they were by far the best source for parts. I eventually sold it to one of his mechanics knowing i'd regret it one day.

that car is going in the next issue of S3 so pick it up (should be out in 3 or so weeks) and you can read all about the car and why the owner chose the RB swap, and see some incredible pics of it as well. it's an awesome car though, and i think it's real cool to see the RB in that car.

VH swap cost 1/8 what that RB26 Swap cost and it makes more power.

RB26 is over rated as far as swapping into other cars is concerned.
