well and if they used chrome moly rings it could take a few thousand miles to seat them...of if the rings don't get put on just right one of the rings could turn up right and scar the cylinder wall and cause blow by...its not a header gasket causing it to smoke...I promise...as in my motor has about 8k on it with chrome moly rings and they've never completely seated and it still smokes a little...as well as if they have run synthetic motor oil it won't seat the chrome moly's...just some ideas...

since when is .005 to tight? thats a huge piston to wall clearance.

motor seems to have been built right. if you look at his sheet, you would know that.

How are you coming up with this? The blueprint shows .005 clearance, and the piston manufacturer spec's .005... I dont get where youre coming up with that, esp on a turbo motor.

Sorry to chime in with relatively useless comments, but I dont understand why people post up negative BS like this without knowing.

Good luck with the sale...I hope whoever buys it gets the issues worked out...Id like to see it run sometime

Maybe slowhawk should look into this LOL
