Mitsubishi found it to be very cost uneffective to continue to use their microscopic anti-friction plates found in the Blue By You paint and only in that paint. This technology allowed the BBY-colored Evo's (which also are the rarest and least produces) to have a far less wind drag coeffecient hence allowing them to be faster than the others. The chemical properties of these anti-friction plates caused the original purpleish-blue color to turn into a different type of blue, light blue in the sunlight and dark blue in the shade... ^.^
