ill let you know. i just figured that tear in the cloth top and the scratch on the bumper would bring it down from the others in the area. but ill let you know what i decide to do.

The wear and tear on the top is VERY common with the 00-01 s2000 with the plastic rear window... if you visit any of the s2k forums i.e www.s2ki.com you will have no doubt.... Even though Honda was pushed hard to do a recall they never went through with it.

Others experience the same tear with the top in the EXACT same location... yet many don’t leak with some minor work as i did on the inside... again this is very common with the first two years this car was released. If it changes your decision from buying this vehicle you might want to consider picking up a 2002+ model.

This tear does not leak nor does it have any unnecessary wind noise... again please feel free to come see and drive the car yourself
