why are DA tegs priced so high on here?

theres only been 1 good priced teg on here and it had a thrown rod for 900 dollars.

because DA's are getting hard to find in good clean running condition, but they are still popular...

if you bought that DA for $900 with a thrown rod, you would have to spend at least $1500 fixing it if you do it right... new crankshaft, rods, bearings, probably will need boring and honing because the rod probably hit the bottom of the sleeve or the piston twisted, or the rod came through the block, which would call for a new engine, and last time I checked, a decent B18A still goes for about $700 and up... so by the time you were done, you would have at least $2000 in it... plus, if it had a bad rod, someone was probably running the shit out of it, which means it probably needed a lot more stuff...

900 dollar DA and a 600 dollar b18b1 swap would be a 1500 dollar easy ride.

where are you going to find a 600 B18B1? I have never seen a decent low mile B18B for that low unless it is stolen... B18A1 MAYBE... not B1.

and I can just imagine how a $900 car would look...probably like shit or else they would get their money's worth out of it and sell it for more.

overpriced compared to what... a rolling piece of shit... every body panel on this car is straight and the interior is in great condition... if you find a DA with a straight body and mint interior that only needs an engine for $900, tell me becaue I will be the first to buy it.

haha I agree.... Like I said... I am selling for a friend. He bought it like that, and He does not have the money to have the holes fixed. I told him I could fill in the holes if he payed to have it painted, but he doesnt have any extra cash.
