Kpro isnt a stand alone engine managment, its a Piggy back.

good luck on the sale, thats a pretty steep price, but its got alot invested in it. He would have better luck selling it on Honda-tech.com

kpro is a stand alone engine management, but it is not tuned at hondata..

you download k manager and hook up your laptop to the ecu and then you load a basemap and run on it.

really neat features like shutting off obd 2 or raising your rev limiter or adjusting when vtec kicks in, it also gives the ability to adjust timing, also if you choose to boost , you can boost by gear *really neat* also good for tuning for nitrous.

but i guess this is just a long bump, good luck on the sale

    WRONG

i know what KPRO is i have one here. KPRO is a PIGGY BACK ENGINE MANAGMENT SYSTEM.

ITS NOT A FULL STANDALONE. sounds like you need to read up on what a standalone engine management is.

See, KPRO still uses a FACTORY ECU. What HONDATA does is solder a Board into the Factory ECU. you then use the Software with Kpro to change fuel, ignition, VTC angles, and more. However, it still requires a MAP sensor, TPS signal and ignition signal. therefore, its a PIGGY BACK

AEM EMS REPLACES the ECU COMPLETELY, and has the ability to turn sensors off, run MAP or MAF, and much more.

but good luck on the sale, i was just correcting your info so people dont think they are getting something they arent

Lol, okay sounds like you KNOW everything :jerkit:

I guess i can see where you could consider it a piggyback if you are not a very informed person.

look up piggyback and do some research alright buddy

K-Pro is not a piggy-back either, Mike. A piggy-back alters the signal inline (most often changing fuel and timing by altering MAP readings), The K-Pro is used to change data fields in the ECU itself.

...and yes, this dude will never get that much for this car. Especially with all of that ricey shit on it.

i wouldnt say "raped" i was just mis informed on what a piggyback and standalone were... i always thought a chipped ecu could still be considered a stand alone.. oops

With the proper suspension and tire setup this car will scream on the track [talkin' road cracing for those people with tunnel vision ] Had one (Chad) this weekend at Road Atlanta with a K20a (Honda ITR) stuffed in a 99si turn a 1:38

Ok Drop the bitchfest about the Piggyback/Standalone and just keep this about selling the car. If you want to discuss piggyback/standalone then make a thread in General Tech. Any further discussions from here on will be deleted.

    Bump for a nice car.
