notice you said thats you asleep in "AN" r32 gtr, not yours, just "AN" r32 gtr, if your around them all the time then you can do that, dosnt mean that its your car. anyways, just saying that its a nice car and hes trying to sell it, so let him, dont discourage others from buying by saying its an inferior car, thats like telling people not by ls tegs just because they arent gsrs.Originally Posted by HalfBaked

Nice car man. For those that don't know, the RB20 came in the Non-GTR Skylines when the 32s were first introduced. It's not a bad engine by any sorts just not as well supported as the RB26. At 12K it's a steal. You can always buy a motor set and put a RB26 in it.
Just curious, did the car enter Georgia as a complete car? Did the company this car was purchased from already title it in Georgia therefore only requiring a title transfer? The seller states he is waiting on the title but if it entered Georgia as a parts car or a rebuilt then it will require inspection from the State prior to them issuing a title. As for the comment about importing Skylines for track purposes, that can still be done but the car has to already be a "race" car meaning already prepared for the track and having a race history. Most people think the "race" exemption is easy but in reality it's a major and expensive pain in the ass that most importers don't want to spend the time or money performing.
At any rate, good luck with the sale. Props for a super nice car.
i just relized i cant sell the car without a title cause the car is already in he system....so THE CAR WILL BE SOLD AS A LEGAL SKYLINE....im still asking $12000 cause i need it sold. i know this is getting confusing cause i say it will be legal then i wont...well it will be sold legal...i drive it every day......the car came in from florida.....i legalized it in floridia and took the fl title to the ga dmv....the car is titled as a skyline and is also insured as a skyline....no vin swapping shit....it will come with a GA title and you register it to your name just like any other car....if the mods could delet this thread i would like to start a new one...instead of this edited mess of a thread..thanks
j/w how is insurance on it and MPG...doesent matter..just curious
insurance is cheap...i go through state farm....its like 130 a month....i has okay gas mileage.....its good if you dont play aound with it much and keep it outa boostOriginally Posted by flipout
I am very familiar with the "Florida" Skylines. Since you are titling from another state, Georgia will insist on an inspection. Right now you are sitting there thinking the title will come in the mail anytime and what is going to happen is you're going to receive a letter from the State of Georgia returning your Florida title asking you to fill out a form they provide, requiring you to pay a $100.00 fee, and once they receive that back from you, they will send out an inspector. The inspection is a piece of cake and only takes about five minutes but then you have to wait on the inspector submitting his paperwork and then the title will come to you. Been there, done that. In the end you will have a "State" legal Skyline.
Not trying to hi jack your thread but just wanted to share actual facts and experiences with you and potential buyers. It's amazing the State of Georgia will gladly sell you a tag but create a delay in the title. I don't doubt you drive it daily and I agree it will be considered state legal. California is the only state I know of that hassles Skyline owners.
Again, super nice car at a bargain price. And yes, insurance is dirt cheap. MPG can range anywhere from high teens to high twenties depending on how heavy your foot is. On the road, you would be amazed at the great mileage.
i have already had the car inspected in ga....and it did only take 5 minutes...didnt cost me a thing...i had to do it before i even registered the car in ga....they wouldnt even register it in ga before i had it inspected.....i talked to the dmv and ga is in the process of printing the title now...they said i should have it within 7-10 daysOriginally Posted by Cool Cat GTR
whoa, back up the georgia title train...can you please go through the process on how you got it registered in Georgia? Was is registered in Florida first then did a transfer? How was it titled/registered in Florida?!!!
I also use State Farm, you said you were going to explain how to get insurance on it...?

yeah sorry this thead has turned into a big cluster fuck.....this is how it is registered in ga........
i had the car legalized outa fl...so i got a fl title...i took the fl title to the local dmv and registered it....before they regisered it they wanted it inspected because it didnt have the standard 17 digit vin...so i did..it took like 5 minutes then i took the inspection sheet back to the dmv and they registered it no problem...so now it has a ga title... as for bumping the timing it was suggested to me by a local perf. shop that works on rb motors
hmm, what county is this thru?Originally Posted by 92tpiz

The good news is upgrades are obtainable but nothing is cheap when it comes to Skylines. By the time you locate what you really want, the price becomes very secondary. To buy a car like this, you need to be prepared to spend additional funds for things that will break and upgrades you feel like you can't live without. Do your homework before you buy the car. It's definitely not like a Honda.
just interested slightly i gotta find a bad ass car. i got money burnin a hole

might as well give it away. Never go there.
parts for this car are easy to get....just goto tophat perf. the have everything you ned for this car....if not they can get it......bump!!!!!!
Its not hard to find parts for an rb20. Ive had many of them, and never had issues finding top of the line parts for cheap. Many of the over sea's parts sellers are in the military, and get/have shipping prices as if they were in Alabama.

Ahh, I can visualize exactly how i would want it to be...from engine mods to gt-r front conversion, wheels, and suspension...I'll just consider it all motivation to get going on a business that can help me obtain that goal![]()
jesus thats about 10 grand more than id pay
Find me one! I'd strip it to a shell, clean it, and reassemble it. The problem is getting one registered here...still not sure how they did it in Florida.Originally Posted by BuellX1
