FS: 1991 240SX w/ Silvia front end (Sil-80)

I am ready to sell her to fund my coupe project. Here is the deal. I bought this car a little over a year ago with the front end conversion and the paint job already done. The paint is called Dupont Silver, which is basically silver with some rainbow flake in it. The roof is painted Dupont Black. It had KYB AGX shocks/struts in the front only with some Intrax or Dropzone lowering springs all of the way around.

After about 2 months of owning the car, the motor decided to go. I swapped out the motor and dropped in another S13 twin cam. This one is running like a champ. I live close to Atl, GA, and just got back from Winchester, VA. It was a 10 hour drive each way, and I had absolutely no problems at all with the car.

Also, I just bought a new set of Bridestone Potenza RE950's. These things are awesome!! I have only had these on the car for less than 100 miles!

1991 240sx SE - 5 speed
Motor: S13 KA24DE
VIN number: JN1MS36P7MW005347
Current milage on chassis: 180,367 miles
Current mileage on motor: ~100,000 miles

Modifications:

S13 Silvia K's front-end conversion
Dupont silver paint (painted around 2 years ago)
Dupont Black paint on roof

Custom 2 & 1/2" exhaust w/ BOMZ muffler
KYB AGX shocks/struts on the front
New stock shocks/struts in the rear
Dropzone or Intrax lowering springs
Front Strut tower bar (not sure what brand)
Bridgestone Potenza RE950 tires (205/60/15) ~100 miles on these babies!
Just replaced brakes a couple months ago

Interior is in good condition.

I will have more pics as soon as the weather clears up down here. The car is located in Oakwood/Gainesville, GA. This is about 1 hour northeast of Atlanta. I can drive to meet any interested buyers halfway.

I am asking $4,400 OBO !! Let me know what you guys think!

I was planning on doing a KA-T, but I need the money for school, and I gotta start working on my other 240sx. The KA in this Sil80 runs really good for a stock KA (only an exhaust). It also gets EXCELLENT gas mileage, so why not use the potential that is already there?

I'm a domestic guy, but that is one beautiful 240. Makes me miss my old 240 a lot

If I didn't have the Camaro now that thing would have been bought a LONG time ago. Have you listed it on autotrader/craigslist? I sold my I/H/E 240 for $7000 (had to take advantage of the 240 price inflation), so don't neccisarily go to $4000 if you could get more elsewhere. EITHER WAY! Whoever ends up with this car I will be jealous of - it is beautiful!

Thank you for the compliments! It is not listed in autotrader or craigslist. This is the only place that I have it advertised on. I know I could sell it for more if I advertised it all over the place, but I am just trying to sell it at a really fair price to someone here on IA. I like to be able to see my cars on here after other people mod them.

Let me sleep on it tonight. Swapping the front end onto my coupe WOULD look nice as hell, but it is not too quick or easy with all of the re-wiring that needs to be done. I would really have to think about it today. I will let you know either way, soon.

Yeah..I wish I had sold my car to someone I knew. Instead the kid whose dad bought it for him wrecked it 2 weeks after it was paid for. Totalled. Sucks to see something you care about/wrench on just die :-/ Good luck with the sale/trade, I hope both parties end up happy.

hey man, i used to own that car before john. i sold it to him jeez like 2 years ago almost...i dunno. the car turns lots of heads. the guy i bought it from worked for dupont, and it had that paint job done...somethin like 3k dollar paint. you can tell just by looking at it. its pretty sweet, the flake on the body, and the glitter paint on the roof....sounds cheesy, but its really cool in person....well the only picture i have of it is this one here

sad to see it get traded around so much. If i were you id keep it together and wait for the right buyer instead of parting it out. anyways man, good luck with the sale. i hope you get what you want!
