92 Suburu Legacy Turbo AWD
its a 92 Subaru Legacy Sport. the car is aspin white, 5 speed, Turbo, cruise control, electric windows, electric sunroof, foglights, 4wd, ABS, has 201k miles on motor rebuilt at 110k. the front axles were replaced a month ago, all new fluid (oil/coolant/ tranny fluid/ rear diff fluid), A/C is ice cold, interior is mint!!, and car runs and drives like a champ! only things that need to be fixed is the right front side wheel speed sensor(just needs a good cleaning), new belts soon (they squeek when cold out, not expensive or hard at all to fix),cracked sunroof, its sealed (they are cheap to source around $45-50), right side valve cover gasket needs replacing, very cheap(car has a VERY small oil leak that runs slightly onto the header and smokes alittle. the oil loss is about half a qt every 5 month so its not bad it just bothers me cuz im anal), bad Canister purge solenoid valve (code 35, been told it just needs a new charcoal canister which is cheap) and needs a paint job in the sometime near future if you like shiny paint like i do. other than that the car is a beast. somethings about the model: it is a very limited production car made from 89-94(ive only ever seen 4 in ga and 2 were wagons), and the 92 is the rarest of the bunch(under 100 5 speeds total!! and only 11 are recorded as still on the road by SOA!!!) most all sport(turbo/4wd) models were made in a Automatic(4eat). the car was subaru's first 4wd/awd car to be used in the World rally championships in 89 and created companies such as prodrive. the car also held many records in highspeed endurance tests that werent broken till recently. the motor is an EJ22T. a turbochaged 2.2 liter horizontally opposed four cylinder (flat four). the motor makes 160hp and 180tq @7-8psi boost to the crank from factory. makes lots of torque! the stock turbo is a IHI VF11 (way small, but very fast to spool. 2500-2700rpm). the motor is closed deck(most subies are open deck and somewhat weaker) and with stock internals has been tested to over 350-375 AWHP/400AWTQ!!! and hold over 25-30lbs boost!!!! its a very popular motor to swap into lighter Imprezas, and very highly regarded by all suburu freaks. i bought the car awhile back and love it to death but am buying a second project car and can no longer afford to keep this one around as much as it kills me.
