No, in fact I can read and I read that the turbo can be pushed to 22 pounds.

Any turbo can be pushed that hard but a 14b is going to blow hot air past 14-15 or so.

dude lotsa stock turbo 1G's out there runnin 17, 18lb.... no problem/efficiently... not disagreeing with you on the DSM knowledge, just letting you know the 14b is a capable ass turbo.
