yeah i was about to say good paint jobs do cost that much if ur painting the car to another color...... the honda dealership wanted to charge me 5,000 to repaint my prelude but to a differnt color.. but to repaint it the same color they only charged somewhere around 1500 i think

Don't even have to change the color to pay that much...good paint will run $500+ then you add in the labor of disassembling the car, prepping, spraying, and assembly.
