Andy's dad has one of these and we drive it a lot. An amazing car to drive. There are even turbo kits and a few motor swaps out there.

Thanks, I've always had a thing for odd little cars. Growing up, my mom had a '63 Austin Healey and a '59 MG A, and before I was born countless other things.
I ultimately want to end up downsizing to just my Xterra, my MG and my RX7.
KBB says that it's only worth $6200 for an '89 model with 50k miles in good condition, I don't know where you are getting $11k - $16K. I think that you have the car priced appropriately, but IA probably isn't the kind of place that you are going to find many takers for appropriately priced Alfa Romeos.

The difference is that an '89 is considered a "used car" whereas a '74 is considered a "classic". The value comes from blackbookusa.com.
Furthermore, mine is a '74 with only like 45,000 original miles on it.
It also was one of the first fuel injected Alfa's made. It was converted to carbs, but all the original fuel injection equipment goes with it.
I also have the records on this car dating back to 1982. So it is well documented.
Again, I think the car is priced low, but that is just to move it, and you're probably right, this might not be the "best" spot for the car, but it gets more exposer by car people on here. It is also on craigslist and a bunch of other avenues.

I think he's got it priced low actually. The value of these cars has gone way up over the past few years. If you think you can base the value of a 77 vs an 84, you are completely out to lunch. You especially can't judge a 77 Italian car by KBB.....Lol.
If I had that kind of layabout cash, i'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I know that KBB is off on a lot of cars, I was just having issues with the price compared to a car that's 12 years newer, it was the oldest Veloce that I could get a KBB price on, NADA was only giving me 1988 as the oldest. I've always been a fan of the Spider, I guess it's from watching the Graduate too many times.

I understand that totally. But with cars like that, especially Alfa's and doubly especiallys with Alfa Spyders, the year of the car doesn't mean the higher the price. Once you go from the 70's to the 80's year models, the prices fluctuate wildly.
