PM me for more information or more photos.

This bike has a lot more mods than most bikes (about $8K of mods), and is in better shape. This is not a bike that has been crashed. Neither the original owner, nor I wheelie either. Rear tail has some small scratches on the underside from moving the bike in and out of the garage. I will include another red tail (new) with the bike to the buyer. You won't find an 02-03 R1 in as good shape, or with this many mods.

I don't want to sell it, since I will be taking a big loss, but I am after a new toy - and I have to sacrifice one of my toys to get it. So it's up for sale. If I can manage to work things out, I will take it back off the market and keep it. There's really no new bike that interest me enough to part with this one. This bike is so much lighter and more flickable than any of the other liter bikes that I've ridden. Starting over will suck if I sell this. Lots of money tied up in this one.

These wheels should fit actually. 5.75" I believe. I use a special spacer to have them fit the R1 with the factory rear brake. They fit a 00 R1 with no spacer.

I was asked about owner-financing. I am not taking payments on the bike; however, here is a way to get it without paying all the cash out at once. I know most people on here don't have that lying around in their couch crevices.

Come up with as much as possilbe in cash, then put the rest on a low interest credit card by using Paypal. If you a card with a low APR, you can get a better rate than a bank loan.

Thanks. I'm trying to not have to sell it, but I really want a specific toy, and I can always build another R1. Would just cost me a lot (like this one has).

the wheels will fit an R6 if you change the hub that the sprocket fits on as well as spacers...if you don't get the spacing rite then you can trash your brake bracket at the least...so basically if you are going to use the wheel on the r6 they you will need an r1 hub for your sprocket and the bumpers for the hub...FYI that is
