Default FS: 85 IROC Camaro (18 PICS)

Selling to buy a Honda S2000....There's been a ton of work done to this car. My dad and I basically restored the entire car. At the time of purchase it was automatic, had red interior, 3 layers of purple tint, no system, needed paint and body work badly, needed tires, suspension and countless other things. So now she's been turned into this DD that runs great and is a fun car to drive. Only run down a track TWICE. Never drifted. Also, I have multiple parts that may be included. I believe I have still have a new rear end posi unit that I never put in that is 3.42 gears that will make the car pull alot harder and be faster overall. There are 3.08 gears in it now(automatic gears).

    Make: Chevrolet
    Model: Camaro
    Year: 1985
Mileage: No idea, close to 180K on chassis, less than 10,000 on 5 speed
Options: all manual, it is an '85, Great A/C, Custom stereo system
Mods: Flowmaster exhaust, Bilstein shocks, Engine rebuild less than 10K ago, Stabilizers, Slotted rotor brakes, Struts, Others can't remember.
    Engine: Chevy 5.0L 305 V8
    VIN#: For serious inquiries only

Condition: Solid for a '85, like explained above...its been basically restored.

    PRICE: $3400 OBO

I'll entertain trades...most likely will have to be a DD though.

Yeah that's why I put OBO but at the same time it runs perfect. It is a great DD. I get over 22 MPG and thats barely ever highway miles with it still being a V8. Thanks for the comment though. So anyone can make an offer.

That would be a fun car to drive for sure.

I'm surprised you haven't gotten flamed for this, so I'll break it to you gently:

#1. Don't call your box in the back and the amp in the passenger foot well a "custom" setup. It's an amp and some speakers. Remember that some people on here have real show cars with real custom setups, so remember the company you keep.

#2. The car seems to be in good shape for the age of the car, but I think you'll find that you may be pricing it with your heart rather than your head. Just think about it.

On a more positive note, if the price was right, I'd make that into a DD all day long. I drove one for a while and loved it. My mother-in-law had a Firebird that was a lot like that back in the 80's. I loved driving the crap out of her car. Took the T-tops out and we thought we were the shit......

Good luck on the sale and a free bump for you.

BTW, you said 200k on the chassis and 10k on the tranny, but how many miles on the motor?

Yeah I'll get around to re-sizing soon. My "bad" on my usage of the term "custom", sorry that all the speakers have been replaced, there is the box and amp, plus the new head unit in the vehicle. Just doesn't look "custom" because it's an '85 camaro. Thanks for all the positive comments though. The engine was rebuilt about 5000 miles before I purchased it and I have since put close to 10000 on the car since owning.

Don't you need a flannel shirt with no sleeves and a good neck tanning before these things will even start for you?

I'm really impressed with all the comments on the car, I guess its just ricers getting payback for all the comments american muscle car owners make. Oh well. Just kidding but hey the flannel shirt comes with the car.. if you're interested.

nice car, I just redid an 86 and gave it to my girlfriends little brother, hope he doesn't wreck it. You should sit on this for a couple more years and watch its value go up, have yet to see a honda that old get nearly that price.

Man I used to so want one of these so bad when I had a mullet and wore cut off jean shorts. I wouldn't change a thing, not even the amp screwed to the glovebox or the sub box sitting like a huge "Break my rear glass" in the back. So old school red it hurts so good. G/L with the sale.

I'm not talking about the system breaking your rear glass, i'm talking about the thieves.
