Default '92 Laser Turbo AWD, Very rare DSM...$6500

I know I just got this car, but it just aint my style, Id like to get out of the fast car scene for a while and jump into a 4X4

92 Laser AWD Turbo, 139,000 miles on it. I do have the rear panels and backseats removed, but will come with rear panels (backseat not available) Its been tuned for 22psi, and the previous owner's best run is a 7.62@93mph in the 1/8, with a 1.81 60'. Sucky 60' for a AWD car... The previous 2 owners were Team NABR members as well, and the car has been babied. The car was resprayed to factory color 2 years ago.(Not perfect has small cracking in a few places and clear coat peeling off the spoiler)

Did I mention it was a FACTORY 6bolt/4 bolt car? This is VERY rare, to have the beefier rear end, and the non-walking 6 bolt motor FROM the factory.
6 Bolt Motor- Ringed, Gasketed, and re-sealed about 10k ago.
    4 Bolt Rear End

    Motor Goodies:
    Cometic Headgasket
Cometic gasket and seals from the head up
    ARP Head Studs
    Magnecore 9mm Wires
    NGK BPR7ES plugs

    Turbo System and Exhaust:
Precision Turbo 56 Trim Custom built by DSMMotorsport
Evo 3 Manifold from Buschur Racing
    PTE braided oil line Kit
    3" Dejon Tool Intake
    2G MAS
    Buschur Racing MBC
    Buschur Racing Test Pipe
    Buschur Racing Downpipe
    3" Dynomax Exhaust
    DejonTool Big Race FMIC
DejonTool short Route 2.5" IC Piping

    Fuel System and Tuning
    PTE 680cc Injectors
    SAFC2
    Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Rewired Fuel System with 12ga wire
    Pocketlogger Logging Software
    Palm M105 Palm Pilot
    Aeromotive Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
    AutoMeter Phantom Boost Gauge
AutoMeter A/F Gauge (mounted but not hooked up)

    Pioneer Headunit
    4 Eclipse 6x9 4 ways
    Hurst T-Handle Shifter

    Traction Drivetrain
ACT 2600 Clutch and Xact Flywheel
Shep Stage 1 Tranny with double synchros, and new 1-2.
16x7 gunmetal Wheels, polished lip with Potenza Tires (Tires definately arent the greatest, but they have some life left)

    THE BAD:
-The car hates cold starts...It will die unless you foot is on the gas until it is warmed up
-When the car is warmed up it doesnt die anymore but it will idle surge from 1100-1400 RPMS...I havent owned the car long enough to adress these problems, and I dont plan on it
-Tachometer wont work until car is warmed up
-I have a feeling the Front left CV joint is popping, nothing serious

Im wanting $6500 for the car or will take trades into consideration, or trades plus cash on your part

Umm...good luck with that. You would make more money parting the car out.

..and whats so "rare" about it? Just looking out for fellow IA members.

I sold my "modified" 96 GST convertable Spyder for $6500 about 2 years ago and the value more than likely has gone down since then. It was a convertable, newer, and immaculate compared to this car you have posted.

If you know what its worth, you would have put OBO because what your asking is too much. Like I said earlier, you would make more money on the car parting it out then trying to rob someone blind on this website.

Amen, DSM's are not made of gold. I have found numerous 1G GSX eclipses for less than 5k in way better shape. $2300 is a real offer BTW, when it doesnt sell, hit me up.

I think 2300 is a lowball, I mean 6,500 is also too high. I say it should be priced at 4,500 at most.

I am just happy to see an honest person. Most people would do their best to hide the problems.

Almost traded for this car about a year ago. Good looking car.

    DSM's where made from 90-99.

From 90-91 all cars had 6-bolt engines and 3 bolt rearends. Not to mention EPROM's to boot.

92-99 have the 7-bolt engine and 4 bolt rearend.

But for only 6 months out of 9 years. There was a very small number made with the strongest engine and the strongest rearend. That is what makes the car so rare. They are very hard to find. Not to mention, To find in decent shape.

Now is the car worth $6,500? Maybe not. But it is worth more then 2K.

I would just sell it on DSMtrader or put it up on GAdsm. You are more likely to get close to that price for that car dude.

Nice freaking car, I think the word "immaculant" is a better description than "fair".

A great place to put that SAFC is right in front of the shifter. Where that piece with like 4 or 5 lines or humps is. Just pull it off if it is stuck. It fits great in my Talon.
