    Default FS/FT: Rare Oldschool RX7

    Well I decided to update my old for sale thread because I have a lot of changes to the car. This car has been my daily driver since last summer. The reason I’m selling it is because I would like to buy something newer and better on gas. It passed emissions 2 months ago with flying colors. Please if you don’t like my car, I don’t want to know…I tried to look for the price on Kelly bluebook and nada but they don’t even go back to 1986…This car is classic!

    1986 rx7 GXL 2+2
    Engine: n/a 13b rotary (no pistons )
    Transmission: 5-speed manual
    Milage on chassis: 166, xxx
    Milage on engine and tranny: 120,xxx
    Color: Satin Gold
    Options: clutch-type LSD (perfect for drifting), pw, ps, cruise control (doubt it works), auto adjustable suspension (works), moon roof, leather 4 seater (very rare), DTSS
    Asking price: $3,550 or trades


    Engine: The car had a TII engine and tranny swap on it the engine blew, so the original n/a 13b was put back in and sold to me, hence the milage difference.

    Exterior: I got bored and spray painted the car black. It has a complete s4-s5 exterior body swap (front bumper, rear bumper, side mirrors, ftp lens, signal lens, side markers, taillights), NO RUST!

    Interior: 4 seater (although the rear seats only fit my two little sisters) Maroon leather very clean with only damage to the shoulder of the driver side. S5 rubber center surround and S5 climate control.

    Mods:
    Super electrical grounding kit
    MSD 8.5mm ignition wires
    Complete S5 conversion
    H4 projector headlights conversion w/ nokyo yellow zenon bulbs
    4- 4” DB drive speakers

    NEW parts:
    Clutch slave cylinder
    Clutch master cylinder
    thermostat
    water pump
    fuel pump
    Vacuum hoses
    NGK spark plugs
    alternator
    Blower motor
    MSD ignition wires
    Air filter
    Recent oil change

    The bad: only thing bad about the car is the lack of paint, and the climate control (might need re-soldering) NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS!!!

    This is a very fun car, especially with the DTSS and the LSD. I drive it from school (lawrenceville) to work (downtown) almost everyday. its really hard to find an rx7 that is in such great mechanical condition nowadays. Interior is in near immaculate condition, it’s really clean for its age. All it really needs is a paint job.

    my friend just bought a 88 rx7. i like them, they are as slow as a SOHC 240 though

    I'm guessin his was N/A huh? Well, the boosted ones are faster but I think they have more top-end power than bottom-end. I'm not sure...I forget..

    yea,most RX-7 are garbage under 45mph,ive been killed by trucks,off the line,then slingshot past them

    yea the driverside fender and driver side headlight was replaced with that of an SE because it was parked under a tree and storm made a branch fall on it and dented it....thats y i rattle canned the whole car black...the engine bay shows the car's original color (satin gold)

    hey how low would ya go im very intrested any leaks? brakes how old r they? any reapairs done latly if so wut? does it drive straigh no pulls? i would bring cash in hand.

    i just got the car painted and im changing out the thermostat and the climate control so it can have a/c...also replacing rotors and brakes....with all that being done i dont think i will sale the car....since it showed little interest, i'll jus keep it and play around with it....unless someone can offer me something i cant refuse

    not clean anymore.....took it to sprayglo to get it painted...not only did they do a bad prep job, but they got the entire engine bay hazy with prep stuff and got primer on the windows and mirrors and on the tailights too...if i have time, imma go get them to fix that stuff

    Would you trade for a 95 240sx: auto, 126,000. It needs paint, and it was just inspected the new titles in the mail. Faded Maroon paint, I can post a picture tonight if you are interested. I cant decide if I want to keep it or get rid of it, so nothings for sure, Im just testing the waters.
