If someone can't capture a quality photo with a point & shoot then they can't with a DSLR either. Simple as that.
Using a tripod will always yield a more crisp image and using the timer or a remote while on a tripod makes it that much sharper. A tripod enables a wider aperture range too allowing more detail to be captured.
Most mid level point & shoots are more than enough camera for the average DSLR owner...better gear doesn't teach the basics like composition and how to make the most of the available light.

you aint coping out of this one that easy DYD! your point was clearly that there isnt much of a difference b/w the two cameras not that it all depends on the knowledge of the photographer :boobies: You came across that they are basically the same cameras with an average shooter but NO MATTER what a dslr camera is ALWAYS better than a point and shoot. period.
