el oh el. it's a xfer case, shit happens. power per $$ spent, you're not gonna beat the mitsu. you cant make an audi more than 600hp for less than 20k. how is it shitty design when it's easy as shit to pull 400 hp on the stock turbo, stock block, stock tranny, etc. yeah i blew up my xfer case - but i was also running easy low 12s (and I do mean low - 12.01 on a 1.8 60') all year. doesn't matter what car i have - subaru, nissan, audi, whatever, something was gonna break, hahaa. you go and run that time in your li'l z and tell me what breaks. beat it's gonna be more expensive than my xfer case.

we've had this discussion MANY times will, and there's no debating with you. it's your way and that's it, cause you have the charming tendency to never listen to anyone else's opinions when you're convinced you're right, hahhaaa. i'd rather have my pos evo than any other car.

there are 9 second audi's on STOCK tranny's/transfer cases... there are 9 second STi's on stock drivetrain.

In the Z? How'd you go from 14s to 12s w/o nitrous? I know the STi ran something pretty good, right? 1.8 because the track was slick and my tires were REAL crappy, haha. Good days I can pull 1.5s and 1.6s. My tcase lasted 10+ times to the track with 6-7 runs each time. My clutch never went out, but I replaced it anyways. A couple hundred bucks = built tcase thats good for 700+ hp and I'm back on the track.

Alright I have to side with Val here. Will IIRC, your Z had tranny problems and all you had for mods was an intake & exhaust.....I bet you're glad you got a warranty lol
