haha yeah EVo's need a 16g to reach those numbers. and the new evo 9 needs a 20g. STi's have a small vf39.. that can make 350awhp with just a tbe/meth/tune. with close to 400awtq.

My evo 9 put down 350whp/350tq on TopSpeed's dyno w/ TBE, SS O2 housing, filter, Walbro fuel pump and a tune on 93 octane. A few of the 9's they've tuned have hit the high 390's on meth.
The 07 STI looks like it will be able to hit 11's on stock turbo, just hasn't happened yet. But it appears to be just a matter of time.
BTW the IX also has a 16G. It's got a 10.5 hotside (so did the 05 VIII MR and RS) and some internal changes, but it's far from a 20G.
Umm interesting....... if you're right I didn't know that. But like you said with a tune. Yes yall can make alittle bit more power but check it out.. compare the turbos..... yeah big diffrence.
The new 07's will have more potential(??) can't wait to see what they can do.

Also, Im forced to agree with shadow. Ive only seen one STI hit 350+ whp on a stock turbo. Ive seen several equally built evo's make 370+ whp... The STI will not make the HP with a stock turbo (or fully modded, for that matter) as an evo.
The 4g63 is a better flowing, higher-power-producing engine than the ej25. And you can put a period on that!
At a dragstrip with comparable drivers, an STI may leave a little better due to the better/stronger AWD system and more low-end torque, but an evo will usually out MPH it heavily (more indicative of HP.)
All of this pains me to say, because I like STI's better, but its true
STis with the same power won't hit the same time as an evo, because of the 5th gear shift, while the evo can stay in 4th to about 120ish mph. On the stock turbo you're right, the STi is stuck at about 350hp. Mine is close to 400whp on the stock turbo on meth.yes ma'am, I was.

The 07 STis are a different story though - the gearing is much much better, and there's absolutely the possibility of hitting high 11s on the stock turbo. Several have gotten close, I believe.

Yeah, I bought my new car built, and if you think thats gay, your an idiot. Doing bolt-ons is a little different that doing a complete build like my car has. VERY FEW people make the kind of power I do without having a professional do a lot of the work. At this level, it takes an expert, and Im the first to admit that Im an enthusiast, not an expert mechanic. Its a little different than just bolting on a downpipe and installing a boost controller or meth kit, which I can easily (and have easily) done. So I can buy a car, then pay someone to build it, or I can buy a car that someone already built, and pay less money. Hmm...yeah, that really would make sense. I hope youre not a finance major.
I dont know what Val has done to her car overall, and I dont know who modded it. Seeing her topspeed connection, I presume they had something to do with it LOL I have nothing against Val, I just dont believe its going to cut 1.5 60's. Im not going to get into an arguement about her car with an obvious imbosile like you anyway.
BTW, Ive also got two other cars that I did mod myself. If you think you can outrun one of those, why dont you bring on the evo that you "built" (I guess... :jerkit: ) and give it a shot.

I think you're missing my point. I said the faster I got, the worse my 60's got. I cut better 60' with 300 to the wheels and advans than I do with more hp. Plus it's hard to find tires that are better than the stock evo ones, but they're 300 a pop and I can't afford that.

I don't come out to meets, I don't sit there and brag about my shit because I know for a fact that it's not nearly as fast as a lot of cars out there. It's just a stupid Mitsubishi LOL.
